New for 2013 is the Barr and Stroud Series-5 binoculars. Available in 8×42 and 10×42. Both variants come with ED or non ED glass.
Other features include fully multi-coated optics, phase corrected BaK-4 prisms and nitrogen waterproofing to 1.5m.
Both models only weigh 660g due the lightweight magnesium body. Close focus of just 2m, long eye relief and a wide field of view add to the user experience. At the time of release, the prices of £169.95 for the non ED and £269.95 for the ED model makes the Barr and Stroud Series-5 binoculars very competitively priced.
