A floatation strap looks similar to a normal binocular strap, but is made from material that will not only float in water, but will stop your binoculars sinking if dropped in water. It will not stop the binoculars from submerging, but the strap should remain above water to allow you to retrieve your optics and hopefully minimise water damage.
