Opticron Explorer WA 8×42 , 10×42 binoculars

New for November 2011, the Opticron Explorer 8×42 and 10×42 binoculars have been completely re designed in a lighter body, and a wider field of view compared to the older model.

The all-new optical system comprises complex multi-element eyepieces that deliver impressive wide-angle 7.5° (8×42) and 6.5° (10×42) field of view with minimum levels of edge distortion. Fitted in combination with high quality phase corrected prisms and fully multi-coated lenses, the results are seen in crisp clear images with impressive tonal reproduction.

The Explorer WA’s compact optical system is fitted into a lightweight magnesium alloy body that provides excellent balance for all hand sizes. Each binocular is clothed in a specially textured soft-touch rubber covering with a tactile finish that enhances comfort and makes the binoculars easy to pick-up, grip and use.

Other features include;

  • Nitrogen waterproof construction (internal focusing)
  • BAK 4, PC phase corrected prisms integrated into a fully multi-coated WA optical system
  • 3-stage retractable eyecups
  • Close focus to 2m
  • Tripod adapter socket
