The North Lincs astronomy society had around 20 turn up for the 6th June 2016 meeting at Far Ings nature reserve. Also 4 fresh faces came along to try the club for the first time.
The talk today was by Paul Cotton on Solar imaging. Before had, he set up his solar telescope to take some images with a CCD camera. Once we were all ready he took us all through the steps on imaging from the start. This included showing us his telescope set up.
Paul then very kindly loaded the data into his laptop and gave us a step by step guide on how to process the image using 3 different software programs. The detail that emerged as we watched was breathtaking , and no doubt gave us all some inspiration to have a go with our own telescopes
Thanks as always to Sarah for the tea,s and the wildlife trust for the use of the venue
